Remember those days well.
LUL staff taxis would run along the train routes, so if you were working an early and didn't have your own transport, to get from Hendon to Finchley, meant a walk to Hendon, taxi from there to Camden. Hang arounf waiting for a taxi to go up the Barnet line to Finchley. It was like a days work before your started. Before it went to salary in 93 or 94, I would have some weeks where my travel time at enhanced rates would equal more hours a week than there was hours in a week. Good times

There was no accident so nothing to worry about whatsoever. Even if the other driver went to them to report "someone came out in front of me on a roundabout" do you honestly think the police haven't got enough proper things to worry about than such non events.
Just chill and in all honesty, if from your experience of driving you initially thought you had time to get out and clear, then it is most likely the case they were going too fast themselves.
Home depot is Norwood ,work mainly out of Selhurst depot ,London Bridge and Victoria ,go all over South London and out to Uckfield ,East Grinstead ,Horsham ,Epsom . As Jimmy said ,you can get a decent living out of the railway ,if you can handle the shift work .
