everything is branded as racist or xenophobix now especially if you're a white straight man. from what i've read the FLA are against all forms of racism and this march is against both islamic extremism and islamophobia/xenophobia but the second a non muslim critisizes islam they're labled an islamophobe even if the critisism is well founded, theres a whole host of reasons why islamic extremism is on the rise whether that be from saudi educated wahabi clerics and scholars being allowed to preach in mosques and madrasas to guilt trip young naive british muslims into extremism. or the closed off muslim communities in the uk that go backwards in terms of human development and are allowed to do so due to the fear of being racist and thus become even more ingrained with all aspects of islam. it is a problem thst needs to be adressed and theresva great quote about religion from steven weinberg which goes "with or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil but for good people to do evil that takes religion" which is true. pointing out that the islamic community in the uk has the potential to breed extremism is not islamophobic when the evidence is there.

the same goes for those idiots who hate muslims simply for being muslim, its not their fault and doesn't instantly make them a bad person and some peoples reaction to islamic extremism is absolutely disgusting like that doctor who was stabbed outside a mosque the other day simply for being a muslim. the uk should have 0 tolerance to both and should actively be looking to sort both out, not tiptoe around the issue and thats all the FLA is pointing out and of course marxist uni students will jump right on that and accuse the FLA of being a facist organization when in reality they're the ones being facist by trying to stop freedom of speach lol.

Interesting post. It strikes me that people in general, and whether that holds for people outside the UK, I cannot say, do tend to stereotype. A few radical Muslems act in an extreme way, so all Muslems are categorised as acting in that way. One rather dated characterisation is football supporters. Are they all seen as thugs and vandals spoiling for a fight? And so this label is applied to those genuinely wishing to change things for the better? Some, with their own agenda are only too glad to manipulate opinion according to their own ends.
