I want to see Emerson play, with Saito out that's perfect timing.

Esquerdinha would be good to get on as a sub. I've seen enough of Bennie, lots to do there.

More than the players on the pitch i want to see us play well. While Burnley could smash us, i dont see the point in playing for a point.

I have to admit I was slightly deflated when I saw young Emerson for first time last week. I'm purely referring to his physical development/stature.....I was hoping to see a big unit, an Adonis, a right specimen - a cross between Lukaku and Droghba if you will. OK, strikers don't have to be big, they can be small and nippy: Owen, Lineker, Vardy etc but given the vogue for just one upfront I think they do need a bit of heft or presence about them.

Anyway, Emerson looked like a 15yr old chorister to me so that's why I felt a bit disappointed. Hopefully he's a baby-faced assassin, will get on pitch again and get off the mark. However, given that Burnley only concede when there's a full moon he/we might struggle to score.

Let's wish for an entertaining game. Marti is receiving many plaudits and does deserve some credit. However we really need to try and contest the whole 90 minutes and not just the last 20. Here is his chance to do so.
Would love to know what he says to the players just before he sends them out.

Burnley will want to win the league, we might experiment a little, I suspect they'll win 1-2, but a commited performance featuring players who are with us next year feels more important than the result tbh.
