I was not expecting of winning this one. Just a good performance.

Just come back in. Nice oil change - my new crush washer was too small but stuff it, just used the old one again.
Anyway, 5-0 thumping. To be honest cant say I'm surprised though. Last season we won a few towards the end and I feel that gave an undeserved sheen to the campaign and led to unrealistic optimism for this season.
I feel this past 6 weeks fairly reflects our overall season and has shown us what Marti is made of. Next season will clearly be a right old slog, I suspect Marti knows he's on a hiding to nothing staying here so I'd be staggered if he didn't chuck it in this summer whilst he still has some semblance of a reputation in some quarters.
Hopefully Sunderland will just treat next week as a non-contact training run before their play-off adventure and we'll steal a 0-0. Signing off with 3 defeats in dead-rubber games would be bloody disgraceful!
Righty-o, it's off to the tip to responsibly dispose of 4L of sludgey oil for me now, what a day..... life in the fast lane

Let's not forget that Jon De Souza interview last week where he clearly said that the club has a method and a plan from under 8s to the first team and that all recruitment - from players to coaches to manager - is designed to play within that framework. Marti should not be the epicentre of discontent and you could see in the post match that he at least cares and nobody from the laptop squad is out front and centre explaining how methodology contributed today or whatever that even means in respect of today. Or what it actually even means to them personally in their ever-changing badged gilets.
I did love the post-match question about Burnley being a team to aspire to. That's the Burnley with £45m of parachute payments and over £100m of player sales at the start of the season.
**** me, reality check.

Are we trying to win matches and get promotion or sell players?
What is the club's core aim?

Thing is, blooding youngsters into a shambolic, losing, aimless team really sets them back. I feel for young Sutton in that respect. Although logic says we should give the kids a go next week, I now feel that the, ahem, "1st team of senior pro's" should be made to turn out as punishment for their unprofessional approach today.
