Tough old side. Not our cup of tea really. Beginning to wonder who is! Not long to go now. Could sneak a point. Not sure it would be deserved.

Love Lloyd but the guy is miles out of his depth in these games. Just has no idea what to do and keeps giving the ball away. Needs a loan in league 1 next year. Please buy a decent striker this summer Mr.Nourry.
It's like watching a boxer fight with one arm tied behind their back.

1 poor goal 1 decent goal were they prem material no are top 6 ready no we conceed possesion far to easy at times in the wrong places
ref waste of space gave us next to sod all
got some tough games coming up and really need another 6 points
Quicker we tell Paal to bugger off the better and let lad from Brazil play

Marti way too slow on the uptake there. As soon as their right back got booked he should’ve had Chair pinging ball past him. The guy would’ve had to let Chair go or he’d have been off the pitch. We’re far too nice against these teams and nowhere near physical enough

I guess we are where we are because that's what we deserve. Hopefully we will still scrape together enough points to avoid real trouble, but we still have a lot of problems. For me, those include:-
1) Slow general speed of play.
2) Lack of intensity pressing.
3) Paal nearly always starts (Marti blind spot).
4) Saito may be our best player. Cannot accept our best player to be only an impact sub.
5) When we have the ball, our players are too static (limited options for the chap with the ball).
6) Overall, we are very lightweight. This is insoluble with the current squad.
I think Marti is a very positive manager, sending his team out to "create" and not to "destroy".
That methodology is a luxury in The Championship. You just need to tough it out!

Frey is not the answer either gives to many free kicks away couldn't hit a barn door although he was unlucky with the offside goal looked on to me.
Saito should of been on from the start, changes should have been made at half time.

Major problem is our goalkeeper receives more passes than our centre forward.
It goes back to nardi , he passes to a defender then gets it back again.
We got caught out at Pompey and nearly again today .It's too slow , lacks any purpose and is easily closed down it's so predictable.
Yang and Morgan were very poor today .
Varane and Dunne were good and saito when he came on .

Our midfielders are too scared to turn and play forwards in case they lose the ball , so just keep passing backwards and in the end we hoof it anyway so its pointless. Don't get me wrong i don't want a team that plays Ainsworth football but just passing sideways and backwards for the sake of it is also boring to watch.

Amazed at some of the comments on this thread.
we were very unlucky not to come away with something from the game yesterday . we were the better side for large periods of the game against a team packed with quality players - we had plenty of chances to score and its fine margins.
Yes the playing out from the back is tedious and dangerous sometimes. but its seems to be the way teams want to play now.
One area for concern is the way we start each half is very slow and gives the momentum to the opposition - it happened last week at Portsmouth and again this week - we were so passive at the start of the game and at the start of the 2nd half both passages ended with a Goal to the opposition.
Marti needs to get them fired up for start of each half.

Passing out from the back works, it's a viable tactic and we've improved in doing it, it's part of the reason for our great form. However, it only works when we have options to move the ball foward with the space it creates from beating a press, if not we get under pressure and we're just not that good on the ball at the back.
We'll get there, our movement off the ball is soooo much better than it used to be.
Felt we gave a pretty decent account of ouselves against an opposition that did everything we don't like to play against.
Do think Saito should start every game though.
