Sheep's idea of Frey at centre half, I find interesting. I like him as a player and it could work. With our injury list, maybe we have to think outside the box. He's big and strong. With his age, he also might like it.

Playing CB shouldnt be as demanding on the joints as CF......in my opinion. The great John Charles, the Lion of Turin, loved his dual role as CF & CB.....often in the same game. We only play one up top and young Kolli and a hopefully fut again Cellar would be enough to give us another option on Frey. I'd rather Frey there than pull Field out of position.

Not sure how fox can start after his performances of late. Varane I don't think is a great trainer by the sounds of it and Morgan has definitely been playing well

I hope Ashby has realised which players he should be passing to! I'm not hopeful with Ashby & Fox playing, but here's hoping.........

Happy with the start for an away game, not perfect but better than I thought we would be playing with this line up against Norwich away.
High pressing, good counter attacking, passing with some zip (although not always accurate) and not tika-taka around the back.

Paal seems a bit lost defensively.
Fox looks a yard or two off the pace, which I don't want to blame on age as yet and will instead say he needs a few more games yet to see how it turns out.
Andersen missed a good chance and didn't even hit the target.
Smyth hasn't really been in the game so I've seen, mostly nice passing and shapes happening on the left with a ball out to the right to change the pace and go more direct.
Ashby hasn't really done anything wrong that I've seen apart from one wayward pass. Seems to be more focused on the defensive side of the game.

Chair has looked lively and the linkup play with Koli and Morgan looks promising.

Koli has had a couple of fouls on him not given.

Mostly its been more Norwich with better and more chances going to them, as you might expect, but happy with the pressure and effort being put in by the team and definitely not setup to starting slow as has been the accusation from other games.

Haven't seen a ball into the near post from a corner since Dembele went out injured, but Paal puts one into the that area and an own goal comes out of it. Rangers up 1-0

Very even 1st half. Good to go in 1-0 up. The linesman on our side has given us sweet FA so far.
