Ah look, we have gotten away with results from some pretty dreadful first hlaf performances this month.

We deserved to get found out and it seems a key player or two out was what it took to really go to town on us.

Fact is we have also shown enough fight to bounce back from a result like that. It's not going to be an easy season, that was obvious from the first couple of games.

As ever we've got to look at January and hope this time we can get some reliable, solid players in to fill some gaps we have, 2 good full backs and another central defender would be paramount, the full backs would change this team and I think Marti's style of setting up negatively. I mean, I don't know why he does it, but he's got to be looking for something to happen to change it, right?

Can't keep playing like that in the first half and then show up in the second.

You could equally be describing Dunne. Swans clearly worked out that our full-backs are weak and set about them. At least Fox and Dunne have the excuse Full-Back is not their day job - I dunno how Paal can justify his general underperformance in what's supposed to be his specialist subject though. Maybe the preseason speculation about a move to Watford destabilised him?

That's an interesting one, although I get the "feeling" Dunne is the better athlete????

I dont know whether this Paal & Watford came from, but seemed very far fetched to me. Maybe hid agent pimping him around through the press?

We need a versitle defence, but agree we need specislist full backs.

Watched the goals last night , we seemed lethargic and far to deep , Swansea just played football around us.
Team lacked bite and leadership .

I'm not suggesting it turned out to be a contributing factor because we were completely inept yesterday but were Swansea purposefully watering only one side of the pitch ahead of kickoff? It was the side that we attacked on the left in the first half so the side they attacked on the right so not sure how this helps gain an advantage so maybe was innocent. I wouldn't have thought any grass needs watering in the UK in December. I know teams do this but just something I noticed yesterday and wondered if it was tactical or just pitch management.
