Christ, this is like playing ourselves..... Stoke playing weird cagey tippy-tappy cautious stuff. I'd wager their manager and Cifuentes attended same coaching school....

But, they have seized upon and capitalised from Dunne's gift and we have huffed and puffed and ballsed up our own gilt-edged chance.

Opta stats will favour us but we simply lack the pace, power and incision to score and there's eff all on our bench to turn to.

Still, it's only 0-1 and 45mins to go. Stoke are unambitious and very content to invite us on to them. I do realise they want to draw us in and do us on the break but given we're losing we need to accept their invitation to attack and smash their back door in.........time for manager to tweak our shape and generate some pressure on their goal.

I have to say this is the first time I've felt like the only thing missing is a forward in our display that I can recall in our performance.
Its been a good performance, what's been missing is that movement and tighter linkup play from a striker (and a goal from the penalty would be good too).

I can't remember the last time I saw a penalty miss by it going wide and not over.
I feel for Celar on that miss, when you are out of confidence nothing can go right... but it was the wrong call to not let Madsen take that one as I don't know why he's on the pitch otherwise.
