We can be spoilers away, like today, most teams can do that. But back at home when we have to make the play, we can't. If we try, we have the potential to lose badly. The fans shouldn't have to worry about internal club politics. They do not, however, appear to be providing anything worthwhile. I have firmly been in the Marti must go camp for some while now and he may just as well have done. The problems are not all his by any means but he is, IMO, a contributory factor.
Perhaps foolishly, I still think that we can turn this around, but significant action needs to be taken quickly.

We were clearly outclassed but their first goal was the usual mistake (scuffed kick by cook I think) but feel we stuck as it and ended the game looking better for twenty minutes or so. More players available again after the break.

Aside from Marti having run out of ideas and the injury woes, at what point do we think having a 26 year old with a laptop in charge of the club might not be working. His stats approach seems to be missing something from the algorithm - whether the new players are any good at Championship level.

I'd say that was comfortably our most spineless, inept, limp and half-assed performance thus far in this diabolical season. Lost track of the tinkering with formation in 2nd half - dunno what the aim was, to look fluid and dynamic maybe? It just looked desperate though. Poor old Bennie must've played in 4 positions in 20mins. Thing is, doesn't really matter what formation we tried and where players moved to when the basic play is so slow and ponderous. So many slack passes! Unbelievably careless with the ball. Can't fault Smyth's effort but effing hell, I swear he must be sight impaired.. he just doesn't see the movement around him. I counted at least 4 occasions where a promising situation failed to develop cos he muffed a 5yd pass or failed to spot a colleague's movement. We've got no legs in midfield and allowed a cart horse like Joe Roden to burst virtually box-to-box by jogging through us. The only positive was it was just 2-0. You could argue we were still in the game for 90mins but that would be delusional. We could have thrown caution to the wind in last several minutes and gone 3-3-4 but nah, still pissfarting about with tippy-tappy football going nowhere right to the death. What is that now, 1 goal scored in 4 games? Normally I find international breaks a pain in the butt but I'm actually relieved to have a 2-week break from this utter dross.
