Disappointed with the result. Albion were far much better than us. Surprised how soft our defense conceded the goals. Frey looked much better than the new guy; Lloyd looks good and Varane may be able to steady the midfield with more games. Chair is hugely missed and the faster he recover the better.

Celar is not ready to be starting games, he got outmuscled by West Brom CBs, in fact I don’t think he won one 50/50. Has no pace either. Prepared to be patient, hopefully he will adapt. Frey is the starter for me at the moment, despite that shocking open goal miss was much more effective and battled hard when he came on.
We badly miss Chair to hold the ball up and create.

Swift head and shoulders above anything we have .
wba always had options we are far to static and lack movement.

There's a long, long way to go. It seems there are more incomings afoot and despite yesterday's shortcomings there were glimpses of positives. Funnily enough the single biggest issue for me was the lack of pace and intensity but that's something that can be ironed out on the training ground and in the dressing room. Maybe we just need to limp to the international break and come out of the traps flying in September.

One consolation is Plymouth looked worse than us , they were terrible .
I never thought i would see a worse left back at this level than Niko Hamalainen but i saw one today playing for Plymouth .
He was atrocious , could'nt tackle , pass or run and had no desire , surprised it took Rooney until the 60th minute to sub him . It would be great if he could start against us because he was that ####.
