Turned up, tried but as ever lack cohesion and quality, in particular when it came to converting chances. Have to say 80/20 looking like L1 next season. Sooner we can get to the summer and have a massive clear out the better. Can't keep going the way things are. Three awful seasons in a row save for the odd couple of bright spells making us think we are perhaps better than we are. Too much wrong with this squad, luckily a lot will be out of contract.

2 home wins all season. Plenty of huff and puff but it's all about goals and regardless of the player they have zero confidence Infront of goal. No point signing players might as well rebuild in league 2.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Without sounding too knee jerk we could go the rest of the season without winning another game. That Watford side is bang average and was there for the taking. Just not happening … these players do not know how to start a game on the front foot & take their chances. But we’ve saying this since Beale left, nothing new.

No we really don't. You can call it a friendly but losing 5-0 to Oxford was the sign we won't even make it in League 2
Colback is s disgrave for the casu3sl way he came out to try snd block Livermore's second. Not quick enough, doesnt attack the block and turns his back into it. What a bottle job!
When you go into the season surely they must have assessed that Armstrong and Kelman werent good enough. We know what Dykes is about. To bring in the players we have and leave such a weak attack is just incompetence. Another keeper would have done and that would have been £15-20k a week to bring in a decent forward.
We're getting what we deseeve.....

There's not a lot more to say that's not already been said about us at the minute but if you don't take chances you don't win
SA has the pace of a olympic sprinter and the finishing of an olympic shot putter I can't blame a 20yr old who runs his backside of and runs his legs into the ground and wants it I would just rather we had more with his attitude.
The midfield is so bad it offers no threat creativity
Chair and Paals set pieces well why Marti allows them to take them is beyond me Paal is just pathetic
Cannon is poor may as well go 3 x cb and Smyth and Paal as wing backs or larkeche.
Dykes played midfield pretty much all game if going to do that wasting Smyth as a sub.
I can't see anything but Rotherham and us going with either Weds or another coming down as well and L1 could well bring L2 with so many out of contract is a bonus but I don't see us doing well a league down and Marti being offloaded, we were crying out for Smyth who was far better and has improved no end this season and also improved his crossing as well but Marti still let clueless ken take set pieces
There a chance we could stop up but its becoming longer shot as the weeks go by.

The overall performance today was'nt too bad but the finishing is poor and the lack of desire to get players in the box is part of the reason we can't score.
We all know that we desperately need a centre forward with a football brain . Dykes and Armstrong have great desire but are just battering rams and have no technical ability or composure when they get a chance. Watford were poor , as are most sides in this division and i honestly believe we will stay up , if we can get a striker and a box to box midfielder this month . Without them we won't score enough goals to give ourselves a chance. Willock is wasted on the right and is better on the left cutting in , Smyth done well when he came on. In home games we don't need two defensive midfielders that are very similar in Colback and Field , why not try Chair more centrally , he keeps possesion and can create openings.
At the end of the day , Begovic never had a save to make , they scored two very good finishes , we created plenty of chances but just could'nt finish , it's not all doom and gloom , we only need to get above Huddersfield and we are only four points behind them but we must beat them at home in a couple of weeks .
