Fair points. But he has made similar substitutions in league games - he lost us the Wed game for example.

In the Wednesday game Willock came on for Reggie Cannon, Dykes on for Armstrong, Kakay on for Smyth and Steve Cook on for Dozzell. Dont know if you can call that bad substitutions? We were a bit unlucky in that game.

Proves that we have midfielders who are not fit for purpose, and defenders that are donkeys.

Our midfield is crap and much too slow , they don't get up and down the pitch quickly enough to support the forwards and help the defence .
Field is ok and gives his all but is very slow and does'nt create anything
Dozzel gives us nothing , he is slow , can't tackle , does'nt assist or score , an absolutely pointless footballer , why did we buy him ??
Dixon bonner is crap , he is slow , clumsy and creates nothing. Liverpool let him go because he was'nt very good , so why did we sign him.
Colback same as Field but always injured .
The rest of the midfielders in our squad are too young and not ready or good enough for the first team.
The defence would improve with a better midfield , although it is very slow . Dunne is the main worry for me , he looked promising a couple of years ago but is making a lot of mistakes now. JCS too soft and injury prone but is capable when he's at it . Cook is ok but been injured too much and is slow . Never rated Fox and more of a full back but once again too slow . Paal is ok but a bit weak and have'nt seen enough of Cannon yet . The rest not good enough , league 2 level at best Kakay , Larkeche and Drewe.

Trouble is even in league he's done odd things lately put square pegs in square holes as poor as kakay is drewe got a roasting and you would expect him too but at least kakay if he wants to rest cannon got bit more experience

I though Edb was terrible so was dozzell

Find needs a player let him win ot give it to someone who makes things tick quicker

Defence is shocking at set pieces and we're shocking st taking them

Armstrong did well ran prem cb ragged 1st half but he got fa help from a defence and midfield on 18 yd box

Poor from marti imo who's got a lot wrong since Plymouth game honestly warnock would do much better woth thos squad but hed get less wrong though

Warnock would not do #### with this squad. Marti has got us playing QPR style again. We are missing Willock,Chair,Cook and Colback thats the backbone of our team. I rather go down with Marti and rebuild for the long term then go down the short term route again and again. We have had one really bad game under Marti that was Cardiff. Marti has a worse squad then Beale but has made us look better in a lot of games with fringe players. The worst problem has been set pieces thats were Marti has failed.

We will be looking for injury prone players I presume, thats all we seem to sign, obviously someone is not doing their homework.

Didn't get his subs today .What does he think he's going to get from kakay and Albert , he's seen enough of them to know they ain't up to it .
Why is Dozzell playing every game .
I know we have injuries and the squad is weak but after the shock of going 2 up u want better .

The problem in the Wednesday game was he brought on an extra defender and went defensive , allowing Wednesday to press us and our defence could'nt hold out .
I can understand that to a certain extent if you are playing a top team away but not Sheff wendy who were worse than us at the time. We should have kept on playing and gone for a 2nd rather than sit back.

Not sure we learned anything today that we didn't already know. Martis' substitutions are certainly a worry. Still, 2 forwards scoring. Hallelujah!
I see Chris Martin is still in the Cup, having scored for BR @ Norwich. In my opinion, not holding on to him was our biggest mistake this season. OK he's not young but he knows where the net is and was a big nuisance at set pieces.

Ward scored for Bristol rovers in the cup not Martin and they wouldn't have been our saviour he's moving down the divisions like us

Adomah is finished. If possible, the club should get rid this month. I hate to say this, he is one of the highest earners and giving nothing back! Duke Mckenna looks finished with Marti. I was expecting him to play some minutes today. So that another that will be shown the door. After loosing a game, everyone get angry. But why always targeting Kakay? He did made a mistake, however, overall he was good. We need some new faces urgently as I cannot see us avoiding relegation. But, easier said than done! MC must stay, even if we get relegated. Forget about Warnick. We must build slowly for the future. NW will be until the end of the season.

Looking a bit too much like GA style again. We need to be quicker to distribute from the back, all this messing around playing it backwards and sideways is doing us no favours at all (apart from giving us all heart failure)

I get alarmed at our fitness levels. Half our team seem stuffed after an hour - it's like they can't pace themselves or have the nous about when to have a breather. You mention the Wednesday game but that was 90% walking football - no real pace or intensity at all. But, as ever, half our team is wilting and blowing out their asses in last 15 minutes and we are bringing on sub-par replacements.

Agreed.

We can only afford young & inexperienced, old & knackered or in their prime & bang average. It must be like spinning plates.

NC and GA were in the same boat, and I suspect things will only change for the better if we can get £20m out of an Eze sale. Until then we just have to do the best we can and hope we get a bit of luck along the way.

I think GA had the right plan with our defensive frailties. Clear your line and get the ball into areas where the wingers or CF will expect it and play back to the midfield. Our CBs arent good enough to be fannying around with it thinking theyre playing for Barca! Hopefully theres are happy middle ground of both styles.

It would be nice to get at least one through the door before the next game. But Im not holding my breath until we see some leaving.

I agree with you we should have kept playing. But as someone mentioned above our team looks knackered at 70-75 min of the game. Not so easy for a manager if you look at our bench. We have a good starting line up at best, the bench is ridicuolus some of the players would not get many games if there were to be loaned out to leauge 2!
