QPR take on Sheffield Wednesday this weekend looking to extend our unbeaten run to five fixtures against what Martí Cifuentes describes as an 'improving opponent' under Danny Rohl.
The Owls picked up seven points from three fixtures prior to a midweek loss at Norwich City, and Cifuentes said ahead of our trip to Hillsborough: “Sheffield Wednesday are a team that has been improving in the last few weeks.
“Definitely there has been an impact (under Rohl) because their start to the season was not good. Now they have been having some good performances.
“For me, we need to be very respectful of the opponent. We need to know what are their strengths and as well what are their weaknesses.
“They probably see this as an opportunity to make sure they can get important points against a team that is close to them.
“We must prepare in a humble way and understand that we must do a lot of things if we want to win this game.”
With Wednesday one place below Rangers in the table, much can be made of the clash as both sides look to grab three vital points, but the QPR head coach has a different view.
“I don’t look that much at the table, to be honest,” he said.
Think this one has all the hallmarks for a draw....hope I'm wrong and our players make up for that frustrating game midweek.
