Their record over the last ten matches is 4-2-4 and to me that makes them perfectly beatable whilst acknowledging overall they have done well this season. I agree it is a difficult one to predict but I am going to go for 2-1 to us. Risky prediction bearing in mind our home form over last year! However both this and Plymouth winnable games if we can build on last two wins so I just hope we play positively and go for the three points. If we do that then we have every chance of getting them.
I think Hull and Plymouth have a feel-good factor around them and that translates into a confidence on the pitch that results in them picking up points. A few weeks ago I'd have seen these as nailed on defeats for us given we were in a right state. However, today, we too have an optimism and semblance of feel-good about the place buoyed by the recent goals and wins. Therefore, this should be a pair of open and flowing games where we can reasonably expect to pick up points.
Notts County manager Luke Williams has thoroughly eviscerating the long-held belief that playing it short from a corner doesn't work, and fans are absolutely loving it

What's a good corner?
I'm pretty sure that statistics show that if you take a corner, you're actually more likely to concede a goal in the next minute than score yourself.
It is baffling why our players seem intent on hitting an area the size of a matchbox by threading the ball 1cm above the first defender's head. It's like they don't realise that defender can jump/move....
Dunno why they don't just loop it into "the mixer", out of goalies reach and have a good scrap for the ball and see what happens in the chaos.
I’m enjoying my football again so looking forward to the game and beginning to believe anything is possible Chair and Willock to start and would drop dykes back a bit. Not a goal scorer but does put a full shift in.

3% of corners result in goal. Assume risk to attacking team, clean catch for keeper launching quick counterattack.
Agree, our corners seem particularly poor.
Hopefully, over time Marti will work on set pieces.
Corners.........We have to hit them according to the oppo team's strengths. Don't think it would work if they have a few giants to plonk it in the middle. Pass around em and shoot.
Agree our grossing especially from dead ball situations Chair biggest culprit hardly ever beats first man, Paal not great either Lewis Hamilton takes a good corner. lots of possible winnable games coming up really need to show up and win this one

Hull pretty decent away from home lying 6th in the away table with 14 points from 9 away games. However, they've only won 1 in their last 5 away games.
Plymouth on the other hand are very poor away from home, returning just 3 points from 9 away games, losing 6 and drawing 3.
We definitely have a good opportunity to pick up maximum points based on recent performances but a minimum of 4 points is required from these two home games.
A trip to Sheff Wed then awaits, which is a huge game. Like ourselves, they seem to have picked up recently especially at home with good results against Leicester and Blackburn. Sheff Wed have two tough away games at Stoke and Norwich before our visit, which could halt their current feel good factor.
A big week coming up and it could determine how our season is going to pan out. We could take all 9 points which would be fantastic. 6 or 7 points would also be a great return and I feel take us upwards to a lower mid table finish come May. 5 or less and I think it spells out a tough season ahead with a long battle against relegation. A very big week.
