Quite refreshing that Gareth didn't talk about the bad decisions. I understand our frustration and it certainly doesn't help but you will get plenty of poor decisions throughout the season, It does genuinely even itself out over the season. What concerns me is the goals we conceded. For me the 1st is poor from begovic, he's got to save that and pains me to say but he certainly looked like an old man in slow motion trying to get down to that, I know he's a big man but he has to do better. The 2nd goal is avoidable but Kakay again shows us why we must sign a right back. You can't afford to be standing 3 yards off your man whilst being 10yards out it's just not good enough. For me we must sign a striker and right back. I do see positives in other areas but I then look at our bench and it fills me with concern. Keeping it on the cheap with youth players could cost us our league status so this final wk I would be shocked if the club refuse to bring in additions.

Couldn’t agree more plenty of positives and definitely looking better. Beginning to feel confidence growing in team and supporters and sure we will start to get some results But proven goal scorer is a must to get us up to mid table at the very least. Hopefully Sunderland will be a kick start

The sliding tackle Cook made which clearly came of the boot of Soton player he was no more than 5 meters away Cook went ballistic
Armstrong was very physical but got sod all free kicks on him and 1 was a clear booking
how the frigging hell did he get so many decisions wrong when he was so close to play as you say he was right next to it half the bloody time.
Sadly he perm refs are so bad we need Var and was it Mike Dean who backed of using Var to save a refs face by his own admittance that's just blatant cheating imo
Ok everyone has to start somewhere and I played to a decent level and had the unfortunate experience of Prem ref in his early days before made league level grade and he was shite and ended up shite in the prem who promotes these people.
Didn't deserve to lose but we made 2 mistakes Begovic howler and to be fair to Kaka Armstrong miss controlled it before finishing
Onward and upward and promising performance today apart from a shambles of a tw@t in black

They immediately took a quick free kick forwards without missing a beat, quite probably a moving ball from the wrong place. Ref glanced at the bigger picture and blew the whistle again. Nobody seemed to hear that second blast of the whistle so ball ended up in our box and they muffed the chance and we came into possession and ref dragged play back to re-take the free kick properly and dish a card out. He didn't actually play any advantage - Saints just tried to grab the advantage but were a tad too zealous about it.
seems a lot of refs use one these days when it should be a crouch then 2 arms thrown forward.

We stopped at a club MWs uncle was a bouncer at . Remember a lot of u played cards all night .
I took photos... November 1981..happy days
I used to love the old card games on the coaches up north with MM, MW, RC , PK ,Sooty and others . Can remember going to Wolves on the coach one day , i was £350 up when the coach got a puncture and we had to get off for half hour on the M40 , when we got back on and by the time we got to Wolverhampton i was £180 down . I owed PK £100 and had to bring it to Charlton away in a midweek game the following tuesday to pay him . We even used to play in the P/Vic before the home games every week (great days).
Would love to see your'e photo's if you can post them up .
I have a few photo's from Oldham away either 80 or 81 outside a boozer and some from inside a boozer in Blackpool where we went after the game , would'nt have a clue how to post them on here though.
