There's only a handful of clubs that have any interest in winning this completion and a few more who'll bother trying to progress to make a few quid. We don't fall into either camp and we haven't for years - I remember one season under Warnock we destroyed teams in the first few games in the Championship, something like 4-0, 3-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 but in middle of all that we lost to some sh ite lower league opposition in the league cup - how strange...

The early round cup shocks aren't shocks in the league cup, they are engineered. Like many clubs we can't afford the injuries - the juice ain't worth the squeeze. It's all about the league for most clubs, you wanna go up but you definitely don't wanna go down.

On the plus side it can be used to blood players and try things out but that's about it.

I'm looking forward to Saturday.

At the game, both teams good at going backwards, barely a shot on goal from either team, Norwich had a couple of half chances, Archer seems to have learned his kicking from Lumley, interesting watching a few youngsters play, worst player on the pitch is Richards, didn’t touch ball until 14th minute, he is one lazy #######, about 7,000 here including about 1500 Norwich. Roll on second half
