I didn't pay to watch this one and probably will save my money most of the season if this match is any indication of how things are going, is GA going to come out and say we regrouped and held them the 2nd half?

St least GA is trying, and if aou went to the Oxford you would have seen Willock isnt trying. He wants away for bigger wages and a bigger club. Im just amazed he made the bench today. Dykes has extended his contract, but Willock hasnt. Get rid asap! No point in talent if hes going to strut around the pitch trying to avoid injury.

No positives from today apart from things not getting even worse in second half. We do have Dunne, JCS and Colback to come in and I doubt Fox is properly match fit. We need a strong spine and that was the weakest spine I have seen in many years.
Gubbins not even sure if L2 standard, Fox not fully match fit, Kakay tries hard but League 1, Paal decent enough and Bergovic good. Field one of our best players but Dozzell L1. No real options on bench. GA now saying trying to get two more defenders in. If he succeeds and those players come back from injury we will have much more solid back line which could play either flat back four or back three. Colback and Field potentially decent partnership in centre of midfield.
No manager could do anything with that lot today. I agree Willock our best attacking player but hasn't shown anything since first part of last season. If he doesn't want to be here need to discount him. Now Richards fit would like to see what he can do.
We need to get any remaining players bought and sold and those injured fit. Only once that has happened and new look side has had a bit of time to bed in will we really know if GA will be able to do anything with us. If they did sack him realistically who would we get in? Probably out of fire into the frying pan. This is going to be an extremely tough season as we all knew.

at half time 4-0 down
miracle it didnt get worse
almost a shame it didnt go 5,6,7 or 8 then the board would have HAD to act
we all knew and said when GA was appointed we hope the fans dont turn on him but lets face it we all knew it was going this way the minute he signed
go back to Wycombe gareth we dont mind
people motivation is your skill is it?
the mighty at best mid table finishing Watford could have scored 10 today at the moment were relegation fodder for league 1 never mind the championship

Ainsworth got to go for me. Granted, he's been dealt a rough hand and some of these players aren't fit to play non league but the way he set them up today was criminal.
We've just got done 5 at Oxford and he's asking centre backs to run out of position to press leaving big holes in behind? The press was an embarrassment, it was like watching under 10's do it on their first ever go at a press.
Gaps in the middle of the park, you could literally drive a bus through. How about being hard to beat, be solid, make Watford go wide and then we stop the cross or deal with it when it comes in? I've never seen such a naive set up with such a weak team. Everyone knew we'd struggle today, so to set up like that is very concerning.
Give him a pre season with these boys he said. Well you've had a pre season and we're even worse than the day you took over.
The board need to be sounding out replacements because we're in big trouble and need players through the door and we need a manager who players will want to sign for. If any potential signing was watching that today then they'll certainly be on the phone to their agent looking for an alternative move.

im not a manager
but i know after beales terrible recruitment we were in trouble Critchley found out what state the squad was in soon after but didnt have the luxury of trying to change things
and when GA took over
at start of this season we needed
2 centre backs
1 right back
Cilbeck and Begovic in my opinion are great signings so thats the only plus point GA has got from me
we all know we need at least 1 new striker possibly 2
i wouldnt have sold Dickie as in my opinion hes still a good player
i would have sold Dieng another plus point for GA
i definatley would have sold Willock by now
would have kept Amos too
if he can bring in a right back (an experienced 1)
at least 1 centre back on loan possibly 2
a striker
i will give him a month to see the improvement
but every single game weve played under GA weve hardly ever got over 30 per cent possession
i dont wanna keep him we need to give ourselves a fighting chance
remember other clubs are also finding their feet and trying to gel in new signings at beginning of this season and vital points are up for grabs

I saw the game on Recast and I saw the same shambles as today, wasn’t last seasons 13 games enough to tell you that Ainsworth can’t motivate players and is tactically inept.

Im ####ed off about today, but as as much as those who paid to see it.

Speechless...well almost. It's all so very very odd.
Can't believe that things other than football are not going on here. What we appear to be witnessing is so extraordinarily bad in almost every respect, that it seems almost planned!

I just cant see why chopping and changing managers every five minutes will help. I'd prefer to keep things as they are until 4 weeks after the transfer window has closed.
If theres a choice of one more player and paying money to sack GA and his staff, or keep the management as it snd bring in three players, Id take the latter.
If we're still playing the same way come 1st Oct then GA will be gone. But I think we'll be in better shape by then.
