would put a few possibly as many as 3 from the youth team on the bench like Pedder, Aoraha, Randall, Kargpo and Alfie Lloyd all of which seem to have something about them when ive watched them

Both teams safe so the game wont influence promotion or relegation. Im sure both teams will play a lot of their youngsters.

Any players of value should not be in the squad - Willock Chair, Field, Dunne, Dieng and Dykes.

I can see all of these players leaving if theres money on the table for them. We'll be luck to get more than £12-15m for the lot though.

think Dieng has been overrated for a long time now and i would have sold him at end of last season when his value was high

I'm just happy that we got those 6 points from last 2 games, it's looking like Reading could go down with 47 points. It'll jusc be nice to enjoy a match with no nailbiting for a change.

Thereafter, prize money drops in increments, with the side finishing bottom of the EFL Championship (Barnsley last season) earning around £7,000 in prize money.

I dunno why they bother dishing peanuts like that out - would be better off giving it to grassroots football. The proper money in Championship comes from solidarity payment from The Prem and a bit of TV money from Sky... think it tots up to around £7mil per club.

The losing club in playoff final get the gate receipts (the winners traditionally forego their share and let losers have it) which is presumably a good few £mil.

I've come round to the idea that a mediocre player that wants to be here is far better to have than a good player who doesn't want to be here.

Obviously I can't know what any particular player really feels about the club but I'd be most content starting next season with:

Mahoney
Kakay Dunne Dickie Paal
Amos Field Dozzell
Armstrong Dykes Chair

Augmenting that core with a few choice loan players and with Ainsworth's clear and simple gameplay I could see us chugging along nicely.

Obviously the above doesn't actually require any investment over the summer aside from maybe new or extended contracts for most of them. That would possibly give the board the opportunity to go big in the winter window if so required.

After losing £20m last season i think we'll be selling any player of value. Southampton offered £3m for Field in Jan and Millwall did the same for Dykes. If that money gets offered again they'll be gone. GA doesnt seem to rate Dozzell so he'll be a squad player or he'll head back to L1.
