Surely you guys can see that Willock doesnt want to plau as he doesnt have a contract after 31st May.

We should have tsken the one year option on his contract earlier rather than leaving it to the summer.

Not arguing but how can we see that? He hasn't had a sniff of a chance for weeks, waste of a bench spot if he's just not interested.

Agreed - Id put one of the kids on the bench and #### him off. Willock is not going to risk a career ending injury when he hasnt got a football contract from 1st June. Thats my assessment of the situation but I could be wrong.

I actually thought we played better tonight than we have lately but for me Ainsworth is useless , which i actually knew before he came here.
Why did he wait until the 80th minute to take Martin off , i only saw him touch the ball twice in the game and why are you bringing Adomah and Richards on befor Willock.
A half interested Willock is better than them two and the game was crying out for someone like Willock to put their foot on the ball and keep us some possesion.
My worry is if we stay up they will keep Ainsworth , if we go down at least they might sack him .
IThe best players for us tonight were Tim but he got tired after his injury absence and Dykes done well and got through a lot of running.

Hypothetically, if the club have a 1 year extension on him and he does indeed want out, is the club perhaps less likely to trigger that option if we're playing L1 football next season? It sounds like FFP is different in L1 so I'm unsure whether that could be a driver? If he's just avoiding jnjury, he's doing himself no favours in gaining an extension with us or a contract elsewhere. He'll be as fit as a fiddle but labelled a gutless bottler. I just don't know and we fans will never get anything out of the club so anybody's guess.

Ive always assumed we would trigger the option we have on him purely to get a transfer fee of £2-3m. But perhaps that comes with a sign on fee and we cant pay that in this accounting year to 31 May?

I agree if he got a reputation for a bottler it would be hard to get a transfer fee for him, and likewise if we gave the impression he was injured again by not being on the bench. So, perhaps hes on the bench just to show hes fit and hes not playing for tactical reasons without ever having the intention of ever getting him off his ####?

I Agree he's an awesome player but for whatever reason he's contributed almost nothing lately, we have enough passengers in this side without adding another to the list.

Willock is a shadow of the player we saw earlier this season sadly I think his time with us is at an end.

since coming back from the World Cup he has been so poor -way too many mistakes - and again last night

the shot for the goal should be a routine save but yet again he parries it back into a danger area

he is so slow at coming out to the ball that the defenders don’t know where he is half the time and and up booting it out rather than passing back to him

his distribution is so slow - he holds the ball and waits til the opposition are all back before booting back to them.

I know he’s a laid back guy but his demeanour on the pitch is that he doesn’t give a s**t . No vocal at all - Jimmy dunne kept on at him last night saying he wasn’t communicating.
