feels like this is the game we really need to win
we know we never get much ut of Norwich and especially as our friend stroud is in charge
clearly Burnely and Stoke are places we are unlikely to do well
so we don't want to be part of the last day relegation montage on the football league highlights show.
What price a last minute Nakhi wells goal?

I shy away from saying it's a must-win only because we've had several of those in recent weeks and ballsed every one of them up.

If they have conceded the same as Blackburn but scored more then them, doesn't that mean that when they lose, they lose big time?

the fact that they are also having an injury crisis gives hope - but they still have a 19 goal striker up front - something we can only dream of!

I think this is the sort of game where I wonder if Ainsworth might go to a 4-4-2.
I think it would make sense from a defensive point of view, especially as you would limit spaces for the likes of Hamer, Gyokeres and Godden to threaten.
Whilst its not the most attacking formation, you would be allowing the possibility of counter attacks.

In all honesty we look toothless up front whether we play one OR two strikers. We have created a pitifully small amount of meaningful on-target strikes on goal for months now and it doesn't seem to matter how many strikers we play "up front" either.
GA needs to think about the supply... we need a much quicker transition through the thirds, midfielders breaking forwards to join our striker(s) and some bleeding width (lack of any forward impetus from our "wingbacks" has been shocking recently).
I think fixed formations are kind of redundant today too. Decent teams seem to play say, 5-4-1 when they don't have possession but quickly pivot to say, 3-3-4 when they have the ball. I suppose this only really works if you have very fit intelligent players who are confident on the ball and able to keep possession though. Unfortunately some of our players struggle to make a straight pass to a team mate only 10yds away.
