Can’t think what the answer is as it’s the same 20 or so players that have got us in this mess! However, I would like to see Armstrong partner Dykes up front at least, and for FFS try and get players forward a bit more! We are not going to score by attacking with 3 players vs 7 of theirs in defence! Perhaps a flat back 4, allowing an extra man in MF? Time for Dieng, Johansen and Chair to be benched? Probably the same outcome, but maybe something like this?
Don't think it matters who we play or what formation. However if we sit back we will crumble and get crushed. May as well drop Dickie so flat back four, two defensive midfielders in front of them, Willock and Chair to be told to play as more orthodox wingers and run at players and get crosses in first and foremost. Dykes and Lowe up front with Lowe to focus on playing off Dykes but with instructions to drop back and collect ball as need be and maybe switch positions periodically with Willock. Need to move ball quickly and put them under pressure and show some movement. Basically exactly what we don't tend to do. WBA have their own problems and I would feel half confident if we weren't so mentally completely shot.
