Hope Roberts isn't going to be jinxed by injury. He's out with a thigh problem iirc. He missed lots of last season with Leeds with a..........thigh injury.

I hope i'm wrong and he is brilliant for us but every time i've seen him play for Leeds , they've played nice football and most of the time when the ball reached Roberts , he lost possession.
Maybe he will be better in the Championship but i can't see him or Richards getting a game in front of Chair and Willock , seems that we've done our usual and loaned players as back up options.
At the moment our squad is probably worse than last season and we desperately need to loan some decent players, especially a striker , as Dykes is poor , hopefully we can get Archer from Villa and the centre mid from Villa Iroegbun i think his name is. Also desperately need a decent right back and back up left back .
Maybe our manager will be a tactical genius and can work miracles because he'll have to , if we don't sign some quality.

Was hoping we would have had a couple more through the door ahead of Blackburn away. Jcs looks likely to start ahead of dunne who was our best defender last year. Then kakay at right back who isn't the best. We haven't filled the positions that the boss stated as his priorities. We have one senior right back at the club. Obviously Millwall told us to f off.

Which I'm completely in agreement with due to the reportedly shockingly low fee!!

Archer from villa would be good as if dykes goes down we have no number 9. Bonne apparently still wants away so we are left with richards who hasnt kicked a ball and will prob take the place of amos who for me finished last season as our best midfielder and in the best form of our starting 11.

Roberts will be played as a striker or in behind alongside Chair and Willock, not as a replacement for them. Richards will be deployed as a midfielder again not a replacement. When all are fit I'd expect Roberts, Richards, Chair and Willock all to be in the 11.

Archer would be a great addition and it's promising that he hasn't returned to Preston and we weren't in the market for Parrot. I think we're definitely in for Archer and obviously our links to Villa will help. Big decision for Villa. They know Archer will be in good hands here rather than potentially not being used as much at one of the big boys. On the flip side, financially we can't really compete. Hopefully Villa put Archer's progression as a priority rather than money.

Hope we can get as many up there as possible today, bloody train strike will not help, I know a few from my area have tickets but are finding it difficult to get transport, coaches all booked etc

Dropped one of my sons at the train station this morning , there train home from Blackburn has been cancelled already... Safe journey to all traveling today
