  • At a rough guess he’s spent £10m, other than Willock, Dickie and Field have we had value for money for those transfer fees ?

He seems exactly the type we need , a young coach with new and fresh ideas , instead of the same old recycled managers that go from club to club.
I would like it if we could get him because i'm sure he will go on to better and bigger things in the future .

I don't think wheeling and dealing in transfer market is Warburton's responsibility, that's more down to the DOF and CEO.

Warburton needs to take the new players, develop them and "polish them up" ready to sell at a profit a couple of years down the line. I think its this aspect he's hugely failed with and I suspect this will be the main reason the board will ditch him.

I'd say Warburton has wiped at least 50% off Chair's and Dickie's potential value in past 6 months and notionally lost the club £several million.

Probably meant a little bit tired, these are young men, at the peak of their physical fitness, presumably, who can't, it seems play more than one game a week, I'm in no way comparing my illustrious, football career on Hackney marshes, to the professional game, but I would do a highly physical weeks work, play a game on the Saturday morning, go out on the lash on Saturday night and play again on Sunday morning ,then go on the lash again and still be at work for 06-30 on Monday morning, and I certainly wasn't getting 10 k a week or whatever it is for my efforts.
it's probably an extreme way to make my point, but you get the idea

                  • Just a ps on that, the registration of players for pub teams back then was a bit vague, so it was easy to play for two different teams on the weekend, as long as it was in different leagues, bit more regulated nowadays I would imagine!!

                          • Dom Ball is crying out to be included. He's been overlooked by MW when he is fit, training hard and what we need in midfield ... a battling player. He said it himself on twitter. Technically may be limited, however he has what we deeply require right now. Hard work and a never give up attitude. Mr. Warburton please note.

its common knowledge that Les Ferdinand said “nobody comes in without the managers say so”
