Just a thought but assuming we win this today, we've only dropped 2 points during AFCON, not bad considering Gray has been away with Jamaica as well.
I would say none have been missed so far, I thought Chair's absence would be huge but Willock and to a lesser extent Amos have stepped up to fill the void, Marshall has been outstanding and Dykes scoring again and staying healthy means we don't miss Gray, Kakay is not really counted on for anything other than depth which we have without him!
As good has we have been in the 2nd part of last season and this season, I can't remember a match where we dominated like this and scored goals, makes for a much better viewing without stress!
Very satisfying result and performance.
The nil against Reading is as good for me as the four against the Rs.
One goal conceded in four superb, unbeaten in January
Not feeling confident at all. We haven't beaten them in last 6 meetings and after Tuesday's feeble showing I can't see us putting a halt to that run today. They have a lot of absentees but that masks fact that they DO have Ejaria, Swift, Joao and Puscas - players who will pounce on anything slack or loose.
Unfortunately, I believe we will be in trouble if Stef plays. He's not making enough forward or incisive passes but too often rolling the ball back to defenders who frankly don't want it. Reading will press and pounce on that sort of play and hustle us into mistakes.
Obviously I'd like to have egg on my face at 5pm following a resounding win and Stef MoM performance but right now I'm finding it hard to see that outcome.
A great afternoon. It's been a while since we scored four. Lyndon played like a real striker, with two brilliant headed goals. Willock as usual our best player. My only disappointment was Field. He works hard, however, on four occasions he fouled just outside our box. On another day, it could be crucial. Stefan and Dickie slowed down a bit second half. U R's.
