If no Chair, then got to go 2 up front to give us some kind of attacking impetus in going forward. Dykes and Charlie up front, Willock in behind please! Oh and Uncle to start RWB ahead of Kakay is a must!

I'd go with that anyway seeing as Chair will be going off to join the Morocco squad soon anyway. Same also applies to Kakay on top of the main reason that Adomah is better than him all day long.

A draw wouldn't be too bad, it would stop the rot to a certain extent, but the last thing we want is to go into a shell of sorts after 2 defeats, I hope they go there positive and give it good old go!!

I'm a bit behind the curve on this, but just watched the gaffers post match, I'm totally behind him and what he is trying to do for us, but it's like his interviews are on a loop, he says nobody is looking for excuses , then lists half a dozen reasons that sound like excuses!!! No doubt some are totally justified the way things have been, but take out the recent COVID issue, it's the same stuff he has been saying for a while, small squad, hectic schedule, injuries etc etc. we are not the only club with these problems

He appears to be a stubborn sort of manager. Won't change the system despite lack of suitable players. Tends to make the wrong substitution or leaves it too late to make one. Sticks to a formation no matter who the opposition is. Asks a lot of the players especially ageing wingbacks who before coming to us had never been used as wing backs at their previous clubs. Won't promote youngster's into the match day squad unless it's a cup game or we are genuinely in the poo due to injuries. He's a strange guy at times but he's the for the job at the min.

Might be the time to go to a flat back 4 we look way to open in midfield for my liking at present one ball behind field and we almost 3v4 sometimes

Agree and also with Dono.

Warburton is just making excuses. There should be none for only having 2 shots on target in a home match.
It's down to tactics and his formation again.

If you don't have fit wing backs then change the formation. It can't be that difficult to get the players to adapt. stop flogging your strikers by just playing 1 up front when you have 3 fit strikers. It has been looking a lot like the 1st half of last season when he flogged Dykes by only offering Chair and BOS as his support in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Willock has replaced BOS and Austin in for Dykes during his absence.

Maybe tonight he will drop either Chair or Willock and play another striker instead. Although I still expect he will play 3 at the back again with Wallace (if fit) and Adomah in place of Kakay. If Wallace is unfit I would like 4 at the back rather than another square peg 'fix'.
