So disappointed tonight.
I really thought we would beat them.
Listened to the commentary we were just so poor,I dread Fridays game.

But it never works for the first 45 minutes....if we are not losing at half time we often do well but why do we write off the first half of every match?

I don't know how anyone can watch that and say it was offside, it was on by a mile no matter what angle you look at! We were terrible again and a promising season has turned into looking like mid table mediocrity, I also disappointed!

Austin played onside goal should have stood. As it is MW now has a ready-made excuse for when we perform badly Friday. Players need a break, crowded schedule etc. Wish we'd gone out 1st round so we can concentrate on 6th place. Still haven't given up hope. 6th should be realistic. If we can bring 1 or 2 pacy maybe youngsters on loan we should be ok second half of season.

Just seen it on sky never offside in a month of Sunday's corrupt linesman and ref could see that from where he was and should have overruled the linesman.

Maybe give some of the lads who haven't had a start lately a run out. Sick of watching senior pros wander around acting like it's above them to put a shift in. Start Duke, Thomas, dozzell etc.

No only was it not offside it was also saved by the defender from alberts shot - def penalty and red card.

It wasn’t offside I’ve seen it back , if we had var we are in the quarter final whether we deserved it or not .

Interesting that you think we would be good enough to withstand the subsequent caution to the wind approach of Sunderland pouring forwards to rescue the game. We should be comfortably beating a third division club but we barely tested their keeper, shockingly meek powder-puff showing and we got what we deserved. Not really a surprise, we've looked scrappy and disjointed for several games... EFC in last round a month ago was probably our last decent 90min performance.

The most annoying part is managers & players are put in front of the Cameras to explain what went wrong or right, but the official's are never questioned on the poor calls they make, its about time these guys a put in front of the cameras to explain why and they made that call, that linesman & Referee if they had anything about them they should write a letter of apology in the next match day programme explaining Its an awful decision, but they wont and the FA will throw a cloak over them to protect them and wont even punish by dropping them from the league schedule, Warburton need to ask whoever runs the referees in this country if all their refs know the rules, because they both got the offside rule wrong and the ref didn't even go over to consult to say he thought it was a goal, as he gave it, but that the rant we were absolutely awful game plan all wrong by Warburton

I think the instant the ball is played forward, before it even reaches the defender, Austin is offside.

Reality check, having spent 1.67m we've been a whisker away from a league cup QF and we're a goals difference away from 6th and 2 goals from 5th.

Looks pretty good to me.

Austin was offside imo. But I'm sure it came off the defenders arm from adomahs shot. Either way it would have been undeserved.

When Adomah had his shot on goal Chaz was on side but looked marginally off side when the ball got deflected into his path after hitting the defender. The off side related to the second phase deflection which was when he got the advantage, not when Adomah strook the ball.

However, it looked as if the ball hit the defenders arm, so it should have been a penalty as that offence happened first.
