Not in my opinion. Even if by some magic we scraped into the play offs this is not a promotion winning team. Cup game much bigger.

How many cup quarter-finals have we reached in our 140-yr history? I dunno answer but it feels like about half-a-dozen, certainly a patheticly low number anyway. We could wait another 50yrs to get this far in a cup again based on our recent record.
We must put 100% into Tuesday and take the opportunity that playing at home to a third tier team gives us. If we wanted to concentrate on the league we should have missed all the penalties at Orient.

I don't want to be overly negative but after yesterday and the way we have been playing this season it is becoming obvious we just are not as good as many of us were hoping and play offs may not be as attainable as first thought, it is a long season with many twists and turns! I say go for the Cup, Sunderland are a good side however and the way we have struggled especially on the defensive side of the ball I am not sure even our best side, whatever that may be wins this match, let's go for it though!

No way dunne or let’s slow every attack down johansen should be included in our best 11 .

We probably need to go back to 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1. Problem with that is we don’t have a decent RB or CDMF player at the club! Love Albert, don’t get me wrong and I love him playing as a RWB, but he would get roasted playing as a RB. Unfortunately our other RB options, Adubajo and Kakay just look as though they are not good enough at this level. Ref CDMF, Ball does his best and gets stuck in, but his touch, passing and pace are again not good enough at this level for us to push on and move our game forward to take to the next level. If we stick with the 3 x CBS, id like to see De Wijs reinstalled to the side ahead of Dunne, and ideally Wallace fit to strengthen in the LWB area. We have to play Dykes, Chair and Willock as our offensive options as both Charlie and Gray look off the pace. Stef needs to play further forward in CMF, but he is restricted as Ball is limited when playing alongside him. Field is a big miss in that respect, but when he and Wallace return from injury, I hope our consistency and ability to become more compact and difficult to beat becomes a reality again. Tbh a 7th/8th finish this season would be very respectable with the limited resources available and hope to push on for a play off place next season. You Rrs!!!
