It’s baffling, ,not only are the back 3 not getting protection, we are also not getting the best out of johansen .I know Field is a big factor in this but we have Amos and Dozzell that can sit in and dog it out if needed.

Agreed. Johansen's suspension might be a blessing in disguise as he is clearly being picked on reputation rather than merit at the moment.

I don’t understand why Warburton feels the need to go toe to toe with the best teams in this league away from home . We’ve done it at Bournemouth, wba and Fulham and lost all 3 . He needs to humble himself and give our back 3 a bit more protection in these games , we have been overrun in all 3 games .

I agree. I feel he should have sacrifised Austin when we were on level with them at 1-1. Amos or Dozzell coming on instead of a jet-lagged Gray would have left us less vulnerable on the break (probably).

But he's not saying that at all. Stain clearly realises that Stefan is a class act and is hoping field can come in and bring the best out of Johansen. Our defensive midfielders aren't good enough and we didn't sign Johansen for his box to box abilty

Ok maybe I misinterpreted what Stainrod thinks. My own view is, much as I know there is a superb player in Johansen, at the moment he doesn't deserve to be picked. It would be interesting to see what he could do in a more advanced position but that would probably means dropping Chair or Willock and both of them are more deserving of a place at the moment imho.

1, warbs not been there due to Covid
2, players been all over from international duty
3, we were shite

defence needs sorting it’s been poor since Wallace went out, sorry Moses imo is pony at defending we need a proper Rb in January

4. we don’t look good enough for automatic and a wake up call on players needing to Show a bit more fight

I still go back to Warbs team selections against the best sides in this division.Why do we go toe to toe with them when we are not as good as them player for player . Sacrifice a flair player and play an extra holding midfielder to give our back 3 more protection, we already know we are short on pace back there so why expose them more than you have to , especially away from home , it’s stupid.

Blackburn aren't Fulham. Mitrovic is better than any other striker in this league. We will be fine against Blackburn. At home, a win and a chance to put in a good performance will allow us to put the Fulham game behind us. Onto the next one.
