I'm very disappointed tonight.

3 defeats in a row now and we looked lost in the closing stages of that game.

Its pretty clear to me that the problem fundamentally lies with the current 3 at the back formation, we need to look at reverting to a back 4, we need to do that and see what happens, we do seem to look a lot better in that formation than in the current 3-4-1-2 formation, ether a 4-2-3-1 formation or a 4-5-1 formation should be considered.

We seem to play well, but we dont get the results.


West Brom on paper probably deserved the win, we were the victims of our own downfall tonight.

Next week is a big week now, got Birmingham and Preston, we need to sort the issues out and sort them out quickly.

Chair should of had that coached out of him by now he does it every game , hangs on to it for to long and gets caught . West brom were the better team all nite , they took it to us and we sat deep and hung on . It's the way we lost that riles me . We badly miss the likes of Lee Wallace and Sam Field, I just hope when they come back they give us something to shout about.

I know the early form this season was promising and I still believe we'll make the play offs but just consider that our last 2 AWAY games were against arguably 2 of the best 3 teams in this division (the next one is against the third) and we drew away to a recently bolstered Reading as well, we've only really had one poor result, the home defeat to Brizzle. After Fulham away we'll have played 3 of the most difficult fixtures this season so onward and upward....and don't forget we could have beaten both Bournemouth away and WBA away but for a couple of individual errors...we are a good team and so much better than we were this time last year....glass more than half full in my eyes.

Birmingham and Preston at home next. Six points from those and we are back in business. Of course we might have to be without Stef and Jordy,but still i reckon we will win both. Charlie must start at least second of them and hope Warbs gives Albert finally a chance in a league game. Big worry about defence though

I felt that going 1-0 up after 45 seconds didn’t actually help us in the end as all the players wanted to do was to try and hang on to that for 90 mins and whenever we were in possession just went long when we aren’t that footballing side. Had we got the ball down and played our passing game we may have come away with the 3 points. I wasn’t wowed by West Brom and think they were there for the taking up until Seny’s mistake.

I said previously the games from Bournemouth until fulham will show where we are at. I’m still confident of top half finish maybe a play off push. I hope Birmingham get the backlash off a frustrating few results.

Listening to the after match interview from Wabs,he was saying he wanted to play long game as WBA wee going to press usto force errors ...pity he didnt let Chair know for their winning goal, but that's the way Chair is and we have to accept that don't we? Also our confident play drained away so quickly after the excellentstart and result against Everton. Also the choice of wing backs was poor form Warbs should have gone 442.

If you're going to make 2 Co ck ups, try not to do it against a team like west Bromley who can hurt you in a flash.

It's clear this season that we relish getting on the ball, playing at pace with quick and confident passing that has an end product - goals.

On the flip side, when we lose the ball we don't look anywhere near as dynamic as a team; we look too rigid defensively, with players trying to find the position they think they are supposed to be in.

This was proven with the second goal, as soon as our defensive set up was exposed we were easily overpowered.

We need to show as much energy and enthusiasm in defending as we do in attack.

I still see us as top 10 because we will outscore a lot of sides but if we don't sort this defending out top 8, let alone top 6, will be unreachable.

After having a night to sleep on it the loss still hurts only because of the way we lost it, a point or 3 were there for the taking but we threw it away, terrible unforced errors, in saying that I never expected to get anything from that match, it is just so frustrating when the chance is there and you give it away! These 3 losses on the trot have exposed some flaws in the side, most can be fixed but if injuries thin the squad out too much I think we will be in for a disappointing season after most of us had some high and maybe unrealistic expectations!

When Prem teams come calling for the likes of Dieng, Dickie, Chair, Willock and Dykes will their heads get turned by the lure of more money? At the end of the day this is what football is all about nowadays, no loyalty in the game anymore. Who knows, if our cup run continues, we could lose players in Jan window!

However, your second scenario does fit in with the current business model adopted by the owners.

If we do fail to win promotion, (which is highly likely), the plan is to sell our stars on for big money, retrench, buy some unpolished gems, polish them, and go again. I say promotion is highly unlikely at present, solely because only three teams can win promotion, so the odds are against us. Current form adds to the unlikeness.

So, if the likely outcome transpires, our only hope is that the owners stick to their plan. I think, given their support over recent years, they are entitled to take a little profit off the table, but I hope its not enough that they have to abandon their current business model.
