We are in danger of missing the point here. We are not going to get promoted if every single week we rely on some heroic onslaught to claw back a two goal deficit. If the defence is giving teams a huge number of chances early doors every single match we play, we are not going up. It is as simple as that. This has always been the weakness under Mark Warburton, I remain a massive admirer of his but it turns out he has not solved the problem of our very leaky defence.

I think overall we gave a great account for ourselves, we went missing for 20-25 mins and thats what cost us in the end.
First 10 we was superb, and overall second half I think we nudged it to get a draw.
Great match. Onto the next one...

Thought we were good once the changes were made, not overwhelmed with the system think we'd be better 4-3-3, may be better, Their Keeper had a miraculous last 15 minutes, and in all probability without Dickies mistake and not having to chase the game may have won it, the goal gave them a massive boost for 25 minutes when they hadn't been in the game, also quite poor on the 2nd goal Brookes runs a long way without a proper challenge going in and poor marking, As someone stated earlier our defence has always been fragile since and before the Breadman came and not really been delt with properly , and we can't rely to keep getting out of jail going goals down, have to start well and take chances early

I know generally the football we play is very pleasing to watch, but this slow, passing from side to side at the back is always likely to lead to errors as teams will press us high.
However, our real problem is not taking our chances when controlling the game. I still think playing with 2 strikers in a 3-5-2 formation will help address this issue. If we start with Gray and Dykes on Saturday and Austin on the bench we just might see us take control of the game early on and not fall 1 or 2 behind before making a fist of it.

Our problem is the same as last season.
A Stat late in the game had Rangers ahead on possession, crosses, and attempts on goal.
But both teams were tied on attempts on target, 2 each.
Our attempts on goal was 19 at the time..
We are always open at the back so unless we take some of those chances we will struggle to win a
