We could have Messie and Ronaldo up front they wouldn't get enough service the ball just doesn't get in the box.
It wasnt about the service, it was his attitude. Every time we broke free, he never made any run into space or ask for the ball. He was barley jogging. He didn't want to be there. I rather a player be honest and say he doesn't want to play today.
What a shambles. I could not believe the mistakes being made time after time. If we are to challenge with this lot, just forget it. We play nice football, however, as soon as teams start pressing our players, they lose all concentration and start making mistakes. If we were playing better opposition, it could easily be a defeat by three or four goals!
I can only imagine the weight on dykes when given the armband made him unable to move
hope he’s not gone back to exactly 12 months ago
All of a sudden it's all down to Dykes not the crap that we played in the second half so Dykes is the scapegoat 2 games in and your slating him unbelievable.
Adomah was crap the midfield was dire and the defence apart from Dickie was was total s hit, but you decide it's down to Dykes because we couldn't get the ball up the pitch.
We have no presence in the final third. We have lots of options in the first and second third but there's no options when we need to go long. Dykes isn't mobile enough and if a player isn't mobile then his job is to make the ball stick when it comes straight to him. Dykes does neither. Poor first touch. Can't hold the ball and has no pace. He needs Charlie up top with him to occupy the space next to him. If Charlie gets injured for any length of time then we are in bother. Getting a target man in on loan is a top priority for me.

I agree , it was a fringe side , complete over reaction , we were disjointed for an hour and suddenly we are crap .

Plenty of times the ball was played up to dykes and he couldn't keep hold of it. It's part of being the target man. I really like the guy and he tries his best but we have no other target man so he will play most weeks. He will score goals and in fairness we didn't put many decent crosses in the box tonight. I agree with you that adomah was lucky to still be on the pitch to take his pen as he didn't contribute much at all tonight. He has no ability to get past his man anymore and I was surprised willock didn't replace him..
Fantastic scenes at the end, and you saw the passion in Uncle...
2 games in and you lot are already slagging and moaning. ####in shambles set of fans.
It was Leyton orient in the first round of the cup! We scraped through on pens. It hardly warranted the scenes at the end. I'm delighted we won but to jump in the crowd and celebrate like we won the cup is a bit ott. Some will be happy to see it and some will be a little embarrassed. Main thing is we got through.
