We personify the cliche about “always finding a way to lose””.
The squad lacks a finisher and a manhandler. We struggle for goals because nearly every player we have freaks out within the box. In the middle of the field we are either slowed by slow players (Carroll) or ones that appear over-the-hill (Cameron, Albert).
Yet with all that said, MW is still playing his possession game where the offensive strikes are as rare as the defensive miscues are frequent. And his habit of waiting til the 70th minute to sub in a losing situation is as inexplicable as the lateness with which the team takes the field before the start of the game.
Finally, where is our team leader? Cameron, Barbet, Wallace, the water boy? We look leaderless on the field, and rudderless off of it.
