Very poor. Lacked desire and belligerence - minute Cov got after us we literally shrivelled up and melted. Does Warburton realise that pitches are 100yds long??? Spent first half poncing around making pretty shapes and patterns in first two-thirds of pitch but did zero in last third where it matters. Second half was just an embarrassing disintegration into a sluggish, disjointed mess. It's actually baffling how we didn't lose the game til late on given we created zero from open play.

Need that second striker more than ever. Otherwise its going to be a season of watching the back constantly passing the ball across the pitch while dykes stands there waiting for someone to get it up to him. Only bos looks capable of carrying the ball forward. Too many tippy tappy passes from Carroll and chair. We need 3 or 4 new players. Sigh a genuine left winger, a left back and 2 strikers for when dykes is unavailable.

We have money to spend. The club are trying to keep as much money in the bank but if we fail to buy a couple more decent players and go down then it will put us back right in the s**t. Why would they be bidding for bonne if we didn't have money to spend? Good players will cost money. Free transfers are free for a reason, because they aren't wanted. I would rather buy a new player than be loaned one who will only be here until someone else wants to buy them if they do well e.g wells.

agree re chair for amos. not enough quality upfront. Chair spent most of last night stood on the touchline. Waste of a player out there. Get him in the middle of the pitch and playing off dykes and bos.

Big bugbear of mine Dave , I just don’t see what he brings , would love to be proved wrong . I’m sure Warbs is a much better judge of a player than me but I am running out of patience with a player that just drifts around not affecting the game .

Do you honestly think having had Amos for a full season that Warbs didn’t want him ? I can’t believe that a DOF would sign a player the manager didn’t want .

AWFUL AWFUL performance started well and then our old frailties started to come through, biggest that's been there for a few years that the bread man doesn't seem to be able to sort out WE CAN'T DEFEND, midfield who consistently give the ball away needlessly, Tough year ahead lost to a very poor team and again shipping goals galore

I watched the defending last night and I couldn’t believe my eyes on the 1st goal. Everyone ran to the ball. Lumley n Wallace we’re both to blame.

the defending from corners was abysmal. Warburton come out and said they go over defending tactics at the training ground. Positioning etc.

Which makes me think if it’s not the coaches thought if there drilling the players on what to do , then it’s simply down to the players themselves.

Some players as much as they want to just can’t take it on board. If that’s the case there just not capable of doing what’s asked then you have to do the sensible thing and bring in players that can.

it’s a real hinderance as we have to score 2/3 goals to win a game. It really needs looking at and acting on.
