FOLLOWING QPR’s opening-day win at Stoke City last weekend, Mark Warburton’s men are aiming to kick-off their home form in style, playing the first official match at the newly-named Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.
The R’s welcome Championship new boys Huddersfield Town to W12, as Rangers look to push on from their fine start to the season.
In contrast, this weekend’s opponents Huddersfield will be looking to bounce back after Monday evening’s opening-game defeat to Derby County in West Yorkshire.
This season much is expected from the Terriers, as many from the Kirklees Stadium will be looking for an instant return to the Premier League, following relegation from England’s top division in the last campaign. Head to head

QPR Manager Mark Warburton: “They’re a Premier League team with a lot of Premier League player and it will be a very, very tough test for us. We’re at home at our newly named stadium and it is a chance for our players to show what they can do.”
Huddersfield manager Jan Siewart: “QPR are good in transition and have real pace going forward, but we have threats to show against them. We did good things last time out and I want to see this on Saturday. I have seen a reaction in the squad since Monday and we have to create a winning mentality.” Ref watch
Dean Whitestone will be officiating QPR’s first home fixture of the season against promotion hopefuls Huddersfield.
Whitestone has been promoted to the Championship from League One for this season. His last R’s fixture came all the way back in August 2015 against Rotherham United, a game that QPR ran out 4-2 winners of.
He will be joined by assistant referees Lee Venamore and Robert Merchant, whilst Andy Davies will take up fourth official duties.
