I remember winning at Reading in 1938 on opening day.... I was only a baby but I recall it fondly.

Great result.

Impressed with back four, Lumley, Amos and Cameron, BOS and Hugill. Eze hot and cold (but the hot is really hot). Scowen works hard but his ball skills almost cost us goals.

Agree with most of that but Lumley almost cost us twice by coming out for balls and completely missing, he has to do better in that aspect of his game, other than that he was ok!

Yeah it’s a GREAT feeling. Away win on first game of the season, beat that scum lot, Hugill and Eze off the mark. It doesn’t get any better than this for a first game. COYRs!!!!!!
