Kane must wait for QPR debut
Summer signing Todd Kane will have to wait for his QPR debut but Geoff Cameron is in contention for the opening-day game at Stoke.
Both players have been building up their fitness following their recent moves to Loftus Road.
Cameron spent last season on loan from Stoke and was training with their development squad prior to his recent free transfer to Rangers.
Right-back Kane was a free agent, having been released by Chelsea earlier this summer.
Cameron played for QPR’s Under-23s last weekend but Kane has not had any match action all summer and has therefore not been included in the squad for the trip to Stoke.
Angel Rangel is set to play against the Potters, while Kane will instead feature for Rangers’ Under-23s in a friendly against Fulham this evening.
So too will Massimo Luongo, who is set to leave the club in the near future, and Sean Goss, who is expected to also move on.

Strangers on and off the pitch – buckle up for QPR’s latest new era
With the baby, the bathwater and the bath thrown out in a frenzied – even by QPR’s standards – summer of transfer activity, Mark Warburton is about to take charge of his first Championship game since becoming manager at Loftus Road.
Like his last two predecessors, Warburton comes into the job determined to play a passing game, building out from the back. Unlike them, he hasn’t been willing to accept minimal changes to the squad and isn’t inclined to quickly change tack if results go against him. So buckle up.
