Still want Rangel to be given a new deal even though Furlong is on the way beck to fitness. He has been that important to us it would be a bad decision to let him go in January imo

OPPOSITION IN FOCUS: QUEENS PARK RANGERS (H)

NOVEMBER 3, 2018 ROVERS CHAT OPPOSITION IN FOCUS, PREVIEW, QPR, ROVERS

With Rovers facing QPR at Ewood Park tomorrow afternoon, we look at how Steve McLaren’s side will set up.

The Hoops have experienced a strong start to the season, sitting fourth in the table.

How are Queens Park Rangers expected to set up?

Goalkeeper: Joe Lumley – Came through the academy at QPR and became the number one following Alex Smithies’ departure to Cardiff City over the summer. Kept three clean sheets in his last three matches.

Right-back: Angel Rangel – Very experienced right back who has spent most of his time at Swansea. Joined on a free this summer and has been impressive since QPR’s turn of form.

Centre back: Toni Leistner – Tall defender who joined from Union Berlin over the summer. An obvious aerial threat but like the rest of the defence, he lacks a bit of pace.

Centre back: Joel Lynch – Six foot or so defender who also lacks pace, but can handle long balls into the box. Scored an own goal in Rovers’ 2-1 FA Cup win in January 2017

Left-back: Jake Bidwell – Can get forward well and cause problems, but also a solid full-back. Scored a penalty for QPR in the aforementioned FA Cup fixture.

Centre-midfielder: Massimo Luongo – Australian midfielder who represents his nation. Not afraid to stick a foot in and can cause problems in attack.

Centre-midfielder: Geoff Cameron – American midfielder on loan from Stoke. More defensive than attacking but can still attack. He is a doubt due to a hamstring problem so could be replaced by someone like Josh Scowen

Right attacking midfielder: Paweł Wszołek – Polish winger who causes problems for any full-back. Scored in the last match as QPR beat Aston Villa 1-0.

Centre attacking midfielder: Eberechi Eze – Young midfielder who came through the academy and is now a first-team regular. Adds something different to the side.

Left attacking midfielder: Luke Freeman – Playmaker who delivers a good set piece. Was the subject of a late bid from Rovers in the summer window but nothing came of it.

Striker: Tomer Hemed – Tall striker who has impressed since joining on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion. Nakhi Wells, on loan from our local rivals B*****y, could take this place as McLaren alternates between the two forwards.

Exactly. So much knowledge not to pass up the opportunity to tap into.

                                Graham denied

Early chance for Blackburn as Danny Graham gets the ball after Dack bursts through but Lumley is down well at his near post to deny from 8-yards.
