I was so very sorry to hear this sad news yesterday. It was Neil that persuaded me to join the QPR Supporters Club Committee 21 years ago and I have many happy memories of Neil at meetings and on away travel on the coaches.
It is just four weeks ago today that the Club arranged a special hospitality day for Neil and his family at the Coventry match and then Joe arranged that a lot of his old friends met up with Neil at the Springbok after the game. Although very tired he stayed for ages and at the end of the evening some guys over the other side started singing some Rangers songs and Neil said he wanted to get up and sing a song. He stood in the middle of the pub and sang a long QPR song, it was a lovely moment and one I will remember every time I think of him. Neil spoke to me the next day and said just how much the day had meant to him. He was a lovely person and such a character and so courageous during his illness.
A true Hoop through and through. Rest in Peace Neil xx
