Wow. What to say after that. No point going over our pretty awful season. We must look forward but there are so many imponderables (Eze money/who is staying/going). BUT for me, one thing is certain. Marti must go, preferably by his own wish, or if not, then the alternative. IF we could get some money for Marti, that would be phenomenal. Some of the reasons for me to arrive at this point of view....
1) Clearly a poor motivational manager
2) No clear game plan A, let alone B.
3) Obsession with Paal, who is very bad.
4) Starting line ups
5) Late and strange substitutions
6) Completely fails to "get" The Championship
7) Wierdly cannot get the team to perform in the first half
8) Boring sideways football with no speed going forward and poor to watch.
9)Seems not to be able to assess players abilities
10) Almost never puts the pressure on "weaker teams
11) IF Marti has a style of play, then he should have realised long ago, that we do not have hardly any players capable of playing that way.
Marti, IF all of the above are down to Christan and not yourself, then please accept my sincerest apologies.
I have probably overlooked a few things. OK, Marti has suffered serious problems with injuries, but our best run came when Marti didn't have many fit players to choose from. Also silk purse and sows' ears comes to mind but that, I feel, is rather cruel to some of our players.
On the bright side. If Oxford hadn't played really badly, twice, against us, we might have been relegated.
Enjoy your Summer....
