Really poor game lacking in basic skills, first half we were dismal, Koli,Yan, Anderson and Madsen creating nothing , add to that Fox,,Ashby and Dunne having poor games, it was a shambles. How MC sent out the same 11 for the second half I do not understand, then on 51 minutes using 2 subs, very odd,Ashby had a row with MC on the touchline so that’s him back to Newcastle

Wr got slightly better last 20 and Dembele scored a decent goal, Swansea were fairly poor and took turns to lay on the floor dead,8 minutes at the end was no where near enough.
We all wondered how many on the pitch at the end will start next season,all agreed maybe 4.
Good to see Sutton get his debut, hope the first of many games for us.
Feel the starting 11 was #### poor, the front 4 all too weak.
A busy summer ahead, getting players fit the number 1 priority. Frey was poor today failing to win a single header, cannot be our number 1 striker.

They played with far more pace and energy than us and also got forward in numbers - I recall they had at least 4 players in the box when they broke for their 2nd goal. Juxtapose that with us in 90th min when allegedly chasing an equaliser, Chair got free on right hand corner of the box and we had eff all in the middle of the box in support.... ridiculous!

Yeah, Swans falling over and screaming all afternoon was a bit much but waddya expect - they're protecting a lead away from home. It's something we do on those rare occasions we're ahead on the road too.

For some reason, and I really don't know why, Marti cannot send a team out who contest a game for 90 minutes. I know we have injuries and probably always will, but Marti cannot hide behind that. His starting 11 is regularly strange (like today), his game plan unfathomable and his substitutions late or wierd.
Today he brings on Paal (yes Paal) when we urgently need a goal. I think we DO owe Marti some things but surely his take on things cannot go on forever. He seems not to be kerning any lessons. Over the season, I can only think of a few games where we contested the whole 90 minutes. This anomaly happens so often and Marti never obviously does anything to change this scenario. I'd consider changing him.

ok so varane get injured in the warm up why not play pal at LB move Ashby to RB and and move Dunne into the middle. Fox had a shocker! The own goal withstanding he couldn’t even head the ball forward!
Also fair play to the Swansea support - an impressive turn out for a dead rubber.

Yeah. 87 min we won a free-kick in in middle of pitch, just in our half. Couldn't take a quick one due to Swans interference.

We are 1-2 down at home and haven't significantly bothered their keeper for a good 10 mins. So, maybe we could pile in up to their box and launch the freekick into the mixer?

Nah. We rolled it sideways 2yds and then worked the ball back to our box in several passes. Swansea just stood back with a cigar on. Jesus wept! Really!?

To be fair, I think 25 meandering passes later we winkled Chair clear through down the right BUT we had nobody up in support, nobody in the box so Chair's cross ended up harmless. What exactly is the point of tediously working the ball forwards if the effing players are scared to follow it?

It's very weird. We kinda play like we're patiently waiting/probing for an opportunity to catch them on the break but we don't actually spring into action when an opportunity arises.

I don't actually care about the loss. To be expected after the mental relief of securing safety on Friday and the hotchpotch team selection forced upon Marti. BUT, I do care about having to endure timid, unadventurous and low-energy performances. Aside from the incoming Summer squad overhaul, I think Marti needs to seriously think about how we approach games and get us to be more direct and carry more goal threat.

I hope he is able to do such a thing. No evidence to suggest he can. He seems to be a very limited and over cautious manager and, week by week, appears to learn little. Sorry. I will be very pleased to be proved wrong.

After watching that first 45 mins I genuinely wouldn't have been suprised to have seen a triple substitution at ht such was the complete lack of application and professionalism I had to sit and endure.

I wander what Marti actually says as they leave the dressing room. Cos it surely has nothing to do with tactics or making sure their are switched on and ready to go.

We literally never touched the ball for the first 10 mins. We just stood back and allowed the away team to dictate the tempo and we never decided to put them under any pressure.

I am sick of watching players like Andersen waddle around like a pensioner (even though he looks like one!) and fail to get himself involved in the game. This guy thinks he's a senior pro!

Why MC didn't just start Morgan and leave Ronnie next to Liam is another headscratcher!

Fox shouldn't play another minute for us. He's just not good enough. Too slow, weak in the challenge and zero ability in possession. Watching him and Ashby attempt to pass and move to each other was laughable!

Frey at 50% is still miles better than Kolli on his own up front. Why we played Madsen when we had 3 wingers who can play on the left is another mystery. Hopefully we can move Madsen on this summer. And don't tell me it's okay cos he got another assist. This lad is just taking the pee.

He cant run, cant tackle, cant win a header, both his free kicks today couldn't get pass the first man, he refuses to close people down and never looks to receive the ball.

Him and andersen should be embarrassed with their efforts this season.

I know Swansea are a better side, they were miles better than us today but have some pride lads. 60 mins and we just looked like we didn't want to he there.

I've always been a Marti fan but for me he's too negative, I think he struggles to motivate his players and I genuinely believe he wants out. He just trots out the same excuses every week. We are trying, playing with all the heart and we have a good mentality. I don't see this.

One final things, we have not a home game since Derby on Feb 14th. That's shocking.

P.s, our medical team should be sacked. We have more players in the treatment room than on the pitch. At this stage of the season the players don't need to run around like idiots on the training pitch. They are fit enough. They just need to keep sharp. Not full on matches and doing sprints.

Rant over. Sorry for the negativity guys. But that first half today juat isnt acceptable. Thats on the manager for me.

My turn... I actually wanted to get up and leave after the 1st half it was that bad .
The constant back passing , you know it's rubbish when nardi has more touches than kolli .
As soon as I saw the line up on the tube I knew we'd be in trouble.
I've said it before as many have , Anderson and Madsen shouldn't be on the pitch together , it's hard enough one but u can't carry two at this level.
The blame lays at martis door ( sorry we are) the negative tactics , the team selection and the lack of energy in midfield.
A half fit Frey is better than kolli , kolli needs to play in a two .
How did Yang stay on for so long I think he touched it 4 times in the 1st half , he's weak and doesn't track back .
For me injures aside the manager doesn't know his best starting 11..... I'll be there Saturday morning at 12.30 , I don't really want to go , just hope the team put in the same effort as we fans do .

Hopefully Burnley will be on the ale all week and feel a bit queasy come Saturday lunchtime. Would be somewhat deflating to sign off with two home defeats in 5 days.

Burnley could beat us if they staggered out of the pub 1am match day. Players leaving will be more cautious than ever to avoid injury. Burnley are also aiming for the title, but I hope to be proved wrong.
