Up and running in 2025, really good performance especially in the second half.
Even after the first goal the first 25 minutes was very nervy, Ashby especially was all over the place, however he improved and was superb second half.

MOTM for me was Dunne, defensively faultless, excellent goal and this guy is just what any team needs, also thought Morgan was again fantastic, think we have a real find here and only 18, also a mention for Smyth, gave their defence massive problems and runs himself to a standstill.
Chair very slowly finding his way, however still not involved that much.

Watford had one or two good players, however spent

more time arguing with the ref than playing football, got to say the ref was poor towards both teams.

Filthy horrible conditions, but delighted with our win.

Smyths best game for us

Jimmy Dunne was immense , Smyth never stopped running and his crossing was much better.
As said Ashby is improving , he looked good going forward.
We are a much better team with Frey in the 11 , he holds the ball up and always wants to be involved.

One thing we sometimes forget is that this is meant to be a fun, enjoyable and entertaining endeavour. Today was a fantastically engaging spectacle. Two teams mostly on the front foot with positive play always on show. Plenty of chances at both ends and result never a foregone conclusion, not even at 3-1 on 90mins. Reckon if that game were replayed 9 times we'd win 3, lose 3 and draw 3. Huge credit to both teams and managers. Great we dug out three precious points - now we need to produce that sort of performance every game. The fixture schedule kindly gives us an extra day or two until visit of Hatters - gives us a good chance of picking up where we left off today.
