Didn’t think I would be saying this, bitterly disappointed with 1 point, the better team for most of the game and 5 excellent chances not taken.
As usual playing 10 men didn’t help us and strangely for a team top of the table they settled for a point early doors.
Midfield looked much better with Varane , Madsen and Morgan looking good.
We all know our massive weakness, up front Celar first half was appalling, slightly better second half.
Still two 0-0 against top 3 sides is a good base to build on.

However we are desperately short up top.
Would have had Lloyd on for 20 minutes as we had lost momentum once Smyth went off.

Anyone up front than Celar just doesn't hold the ball up gets pushed of it far to easy, but against ten men we are clueless.

Varane was the success story of today and completely disagree Romford regarding Morgan. I know we love a one of our own but today he gave the ball away far too many times cheaply. He loves to always side foot the ball but when passing at greater distance I don't think he has the capability to drill it when needed. It was a decent performance and I think we have far too much to worry about going down. Teams like Plymouth and Oxford I'd imagine will be in the bottom 3 come the end of the season. Just glad I'm not hearing any stupid/ridiculous calls about sacking the manager! I respect you for being season ticket holders but even season ticket holders need a reality check!

Totally disagree about Morgan, faded last 20 and got careless, however up to then had controlled the midfield with Varane, always looking for the ball, and for someone so young and lacking experience I thought he did well.

Never said MC should be sacked , however still not sure he is the hero a lot of people think he is, not bringing on Lloyd today in the last 20 was a poor decision.

Varane mom for me won everything, could of taken Morgan off imo 25 mins from time and gone for it

Sunderland first 15 looked decent we missed decent chance celar he’s not a cf sorry but did better 2nd half

out wide we were poor our crossing is garbage regardless of who’s upfront they’d struggle

can see us being far from drop zone just don’t see goals in us to be comfy

a point but reality never looked like winning

Talk of Varane being mom should make us all consider that any of these players can turn it around once they get used to the division. People were slating Varane a few weeks back.

Bridge closed to pedestrians, no district line , traffic in abundance.
walking most of the way .
Gutted we didn't win , we were camped in their half when Bellingham walked .
Varane and Morgan were good , madsen slightly better.
Smyth needs to cross it and stop checking back , has to be direct with his speed , lacks the confidence to shoot .
Celar must be best mates , or Marti either owes him money or they're a item.

Well I thought celar markedly better and won a lot and closed down brilliantly. Yes he missed a chance but 100m arsenal player missed easier one. Players do. I think our midfield don’t get into box enough atm

Dunno if Mackems had a load of injuries but they looked bang average today. Anyway, you can only play what's in front of you and I feel we shaded the game. But, did we do enough to deserve 3pts? Don't think we did. The winless run continues and we still lack conviction in the box - players just don't seem to have any belief in their finishing, no venom... I never had a sense of any of our shots being anything other than a swing of the boot, a hit-and-hope effort.
Yeah, we looked a bit more cohesive but its only in the first 60yds of the pitch, we're still ponderous in final third with no forward oomph from central midfield at all.
But, putting aside all wider context and analysis... that was a deadly dull and tedious 90mins, a very difficult watch. Can anyone seriously say they enjoyed it and it was time/money well spent?
