Fairly decent game watching a new look team, some good bits, some not so good.

Morrison looks decent, I thought Celar looked better, Santos hard to tell, took his goal well and looked happier at right back, downsides were Saito who looks lost and Varane who is not fully fit, he is definitely not up to the speed of the game. However this is a new club and country for these lads and they will take time.

Hope we get a good draw, Spurs or West Ham away would be good.

Went to game was surprised Luton went so strong.
Game could have gone either way but thought Luton just edged it .

You can tell that luton have just come down from the prem every challenge they was moaning to the ref, going down with the smallest of contact and the ref bought it. But glad we knocked them out with well taken pen's and a great save by our keeper, love to turn them over at their gaff on Friday, UR'S

The defence has tangibly tightened up under Marti's reign. Steve Cook reminds me of former old war horses like Steve Palmer, Clint Hill and Richard Dunne who came in and did a sterling job for us. Let's be frank, for periods Luton's slick pacey play had us all over the place but we stood firm and del8vered a spot-kick masterclass.

I see Barrow are still going strong, I quite fancy a new ground with a pub stop in The Lakes en route. Blackpool still there, bag of chips on the prom whilst taking in the illuminations. Or, a big glamour team..... blow me, suddenly I'm not so disinterested and I'm excited about League Cup - fickle sod ain't I!?
