Another defeat, and at times a painfully poor performance especially in the first half.
Our build up play was so slow it was tedious to watch, we go backwards,sideways,backwards then stupidly lose the ball.
First half it almost looked like the players were sulking at losing Wells, their body language was poor and passing was worse.
Our 2 potential superstars BOS and Eze were very poor, with Ezes reluctance to move his #### costing us the first goal, today Eze really should have been dragged off for lack of effort, Jack Clarke produced more in 10 minutes than Eze did in 90.
20 million, on his last 5 or 6 games u must be joking.
We give away far to many cheap free kicks, and cheaply give away possession, second half better and last 10 minutes was like the Alamo, little finesse but plenty of goal mouth action.
MOTM for me again was Masterson, cool, composed, and single handily marshalled the defence, our future captain in waiting.
Again Chair wa dragged off for Pugh, to me a pointless move as Pugh is a waste of space.
We are short of options however Clarke’s 10 minute cameo gives me hope, put in 2 fabulous crossed that deserved to be buried.
City were a fairly decent team although nothing special, they press very high, are very fit and the number 9 was a handful, although Masterson handled him well.
Finally a word about the ref, possibly the most incompetent ref seen at Rangers in a long time, got many decisions totally wrong, allowed their number 3 to pull BOS shirt the whole game, and for both teams some of his decisions were shocking.
