To be quite honest happy with a draw tonight, we were totally out of sorts, substitutions made it worse, taking off Wells was bizarre as it handed the initiative to Reading, I thought we were lucky to go in at half time level as they had the better chances.
Our defence is a shambles, Rangel was poor, Kane a lot worse, Manning although having a great season is costing us goals at the far post, just thought we did not get going tonight, however credit to Reading who played well and in their number 14 had the best player on the pitch.
Eze and Chair tried their best, but lack of width was evident.
Goalkeeping situation is now a worry, although Kelly pulled of a few decent saves, at other times he looks iffy, he gets caught in no mans land, and with the ball at his feet it is close your eyes time.
Terrible crowd of 12000 odd thanks to Sky who are killing midweek Championship attendances.
Bizzare ref tonight, gave a blantant penalty for handball, then changed his mind,very odd.
Now for a reality check, joint top for a spell tonight, still in the top 6, look at other results tonight, we are having a great season, inconsistently will happen, new team, young players etc, enjoy the journey and who knows where we could end up.

Great post , taking Wells off very odd ...Amos couldn't trap a bag of sand and was ineffective ... Pugh headless chicken , we made john swift look like pirlo ....

The set up was changed to a 4-4-2 to accommodate Wells and Hugill but threw the balance of the team out.

That's how I see it too, think we were lucky with a draw but credit to Reading, they will not be down there for much longer.

I never expected us to be sitting where we are, I'm still very happy.

I must get down and see a live game. Only had the chance to watch us on sky and tbh we have been really bad. I get very confused about what the fuss it all about. Eze did look much better than against brom tbf. That Kane looks a really bad player and hugill, I am unsure how he gets his goals. Looks technically woeful however I have only seen those 2 games so not a real reflection and I am delighted with the points on the board so long may it continue. Shame we're on sky again.

Thoughts from last night...

1: We took a bit of time to get in the game and looked tired.
2: Reading were much better than we expected.
3: Both our goals were good but we desperately need to sort out our defence.
4: The ref was ####.
5: Turn out from home fans was not great, doesn't matter if we're on the telly, why would you choose to watch it on the Telly over being St the game!? Especially given our current form.

Reading raised their game against us at LR last season when we were flying high and they are struggling at the bottom of the league. I remember they totally bossed the first half on that day and QPR only had 25% first half possession, we were lucky to escape with a 0-0 in the end.

Can only say everything that could conspire against us pretty much did.

Firstly we were not at the races aces at all. Not one player had a good game. All 5/10

Ref was absolutely abysmal. Worst I've seen in a while. How he missed that handball first half was a joke then a player that lanky American #### number 5 clearly elbows Hughill (he'd already slung the arm at Rangel first half) then throws him to the ground yet gets a yellow and worse still so does Hughill. Embarrassing.

Substitutions for me didn't work. Taking Wells off to shore up the midfield would be ok if we could defend but we can't. Once they scored again we were short up front.

The 3 lads who came on didn't effect the game at all. Not one iota.

Just not at the races but 4th in the league which is amazing but actually came home frustrated and deflated.

Lets just beat these #####s from Hounslow on Monday to make up for it.

Yes Romford is always well worth a read but the amount of times we get caught on the counter really suggests we lack pace at the back side need of CB with discipline

Tbh Romford at 2-1 I’d take the draw imo chair should of gone for Amos or Pugh.

jelly I can live with in goal over lumley but there’s better options lad at afc Wimbledon in loan from hammers is top draw for a kid.

He could have played 3 5 2 to do that.

Strange to go to 4 4 2 as neither Eze or Chair are wingers. Playing them there cost QPR the creativity that they provide.

I agree with what Romford wrote, but the ref was pivotal to QPR not winning as he could have sent off the no.5 for an earlier challenge before the blatant handball decision for which he appeared to change his mind after putting the whistle to his mouth to award a penalty.
