I'm loving the positive vibe about this guy and i agree if he does come (and it appears from Petes post that he is coming) we must give him a couple of months to bed in and get right behind him.
I still think that even if he does sign we need another striker and i'm still not clear if this guy is seen as a replacement for Dex or we are still going for another. (Can someone please give a view on this, Pete, Scott, Dazzer, Walkonby).

Either way I can (albeit somewhat hopefully) see the headlines now - something like "UNKNOWN ITALIAN IS A PIZZA MADGE-IC".

Starting to think that maybye this could be the start of something special.:exciting:

Is the Guardian who has a comprehensive database on all European football making the stats up then as there is no mention of his 18 goals last season (6 in 36 last season) on their website:

Doesn't appear in any top goal scoring list for last season and also listed as this being his record to date:

      Career
      Season---------Apps----Goals----Team
      2008 - 2009---- 19------4------Grosseto
      2008 - 2009---- 17------2------Avellino
      2007 - 2008---- 38------18------Avellino
      2006 - 2007---- 11------3------Cesena
      2006 - 2007---- 9-------0------Piacenza

Sir Pie I wish you never showed me this. I am all depressed now and I just booked my tickets. I was feeling very upbeat until now. Thanks alot
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

so he's cheap, doesnt have a good scoring record apart from that one season but he has a good attitude. Gonna give him a chance but tbh i dont hold out much hope

I would support him, but like what others have said, I do not think he will be a great signing for us, and I think he will struggle in the championship.

Let's support him-that's what supporters do isn't it??

He may take time to settle in,but we can help, not hinder that process.

True, he has scored 24 in his previous 74 appearances (over the last three seasons) or 1 in 3, which over a season is 15/16 goals.

Serie B last season averaged 2.38 goals a game compared with the Championship which was 2.45 goals a game so the division he has come from is marginally harder to score in but his record is poorer than Blackstock's.

Not arguing we need a striker, we do. Pellicori will score goals, Ageymang and Vine won't score many. Balanta will have a good season, but we need a 20 goal plus a season striker.

We all agree, a proven striker is needed

We can all see it, Flavio can't thats where the problem lies.
                            He will blame Jim

Is that a hidden message then Pete - that is, do the Board get included in "we ALL agree" or am I just being too hopeful
