For me, much like last season, he is perhaps our best impact sub and one of the best in the league at that role but we cannot start him if we want anything from our matches, and i think redknapp has realised that. but what do you think his role should be in the run in?

Bench player this season. When Zamora came off against Sunderland I think everyone expected Bothroyd to come on ( including Sunderland ) so putting Mackie on could/should of confused SunderlandUnder Les Ferdinand:

Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
