Another coincidence is that he's had his best games with Taraabt out of the side. Very hard to plan to a plan or with a shape if Taarabts always dropping deep to effectively do your job for you. One, there's more space for you to play your game, (also that the defenders tracking taarabt aren't dropping deeper either), and two, there are more players higher up the field for you to pick out.

Mbia's a bit dodgy at times, but is a much better player than Derry imo. Still rate Derry highly though.

There's no way Derry been dropped after Dubai antics, HR even said some have got mysterious injuries n then you get players like Derry who do no wrong but are just unlucky. To me that says he's been dropped purely because others are better than him
