  • If we beat Villa...

    ....we will stay up.

That kind of momentum combined with a good run of fixtures will mean we will do it. The confidence boost will be matched by an increase in tension, nerves and anxiety in our immediate rivals.

If we draw, we can still do it, but I am convinced a win will mean we stay up....in fact I will go straight to the online bookies!

Yes a long way to go yada yada

100% agree with ya. 3 on the bounce would be huge. Not sure I can see it though, this is QPR after all :pleasantsuprise:
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

In January Reading went on a run getting 10 points out of 12 then lost the next 5. I'd love us to win on Saturday and whatever the result it's still a mountain.

          But we did.

This feels different to me and here is why:

            1. Reading wasted the January window and we got in some good signings. That helps mentally as well as on the pitch.
            2. We have 2 wins AND a decent set of fixtures, so we will get more points.
            3. Our team is stronger than it was before XMAS
            4. Reading are sh*t

The massive difference is Reading were very very lucky in those games having generally played rubbish in them for the most part.... West Brom should've been 4 or 5-0 up at the Madjeski, they were 2-0, and Lakaku had one disallowed and hit post and bar.... Reading were awful, then from nothing got 3 goals at the end becasue West Brom capitulated and Olsen gifted a ridiculous pen.

Also Chelsea at home they barely had a kick, should've been dead and buried and got 2 late goals. Newcastle away was also smash and grab.

Of course them getting those points was great for them, but ask any Readin fan and they'll say it papered over some very big cracks. At no point have they looked good.

I agree about the Villa game. If we win we will just continue to grow in confidence and stature among the botttom clubs and can see us finishing very strongly.

Don't jinx us silver!!!... It doesn't matter what you say regarding good fixtures there's no guarantees. Blackburn got out of the bottom 3 last season and then went 6 clear of it, about this time of year too, and come on ....we all know by now this is QPR we're talking about. Div 1 1976...FA cup 1982...Milk cup 1986.

But it would be less of a mountain than before

I think a victory over Villa would be a massive result for us,it would give us a decent chance of staying up,but defeat would make staying up almost impossible,so no understatement when we say this is our biggest game of the season, personally I expect it to be a draw which would suit Villa as well,a draw while not great for us does keep our hopes alive.

I think tactics are absolutely key to this one, and its tricky because with Villa themselves sometimes seem to have little idea of whether to hold a high back line or go deep, I've seen em do both in the same game ......

He could go for the Chelsea away approach but I dont think Villa warrant that. Equally I don't think we'll get treated to last weeks 4-2-4. I reckon it's a tricky call, because we just can not afford to take nothing from the game. That's the reality.

I agree, I think a win would go a hell of a long way. As said draw is still do able
                          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
