i wish something was done about it, football is enough of rip off without that lot earning a crust for simply reselling tickets at more than double the face value. my other concern is that we end up with rows of empty seats that they bought and couldnt sell, consequently the atmosphere suffers. i just imagine there are lads in their early 20s or students that can ill afford to go to games that need to buy the cheapest tickets and cant do so thanks to some ar5e who has bought them all to sell on at twice their face value. its not right. the club have no leg to stand on im afraid, they got into bed with viagogo. arsenals system seems the fairest, from what ive seen. its like viagogo but i dont think you can sell to non fans and at more than face value

Club could increase the number of Season Ticket's available to fit more in line with demand.

They could then restrict the sale of any other "Home" ticket to registered members only, one ticket per member, who would be required to produce the corresponding membership card at the turnstile in order for the ticket to be valid.

Fans from abroad, again one ticket per person, would be required to bring proof of ID for each of them, in order to be able to collect their tickets from the box office.

Neutral fans who just want to take in an available game, could as football fans, simply be a member of some FA ticket scheme and as before, need to bring their cards with them along with their ticket.

Hardly rocket science. But no doubt will be seen as unnecessary expense and trouble for those clubs who splash out untold millions per year on players salaries. Bit much for them to look after the fans too.
